Air conditioning and heat pump service, repair, and troubleshooting
We provide service, maintenance, and repair support for a range of common cooling problems, with a focus on clear communication, practical recommendations, and helping you understand the next steps.
Common issues we assess and service include:
No cooling or reduced cooling performance
Weak airflow or poor air distribution
Systems that freeze up or run constantly
Water leaks related to drains or condensate
Ductless heads dripping, showing errors, or not responding properly
Uneven cooling, hot rooms, or indoor humidity concerns
General system performance issues or signs something is not operating properly
If a repair makes sense, we’ll explain what we found, what the options are, and what it may take to get the system running properly again.
Air conditioning maintenance and cleaning
Regular air conditioner maintenance and heat pump cleaning can help improve airflow, comfort, efficiency, and reliability — especially for ductless systems, indoor coils, and equipment that works hard through the cooling season.
Common maintenance and cleaning services include:
Ductless deep cleaning of indoor heads, including drain inspection and cleaning as needed
Outdoor unit cleaning to improve airflow through the coil
Evaporator coil deep cleaning on central air conditioning systems when buildup is affecting airflow or contributing to icing
Basic performance checks and practical recommendations to help reduce breakdowns
If you’re not sure what your system needs, we can assess it and recommend the level of service or cleaning that makes sense for your setup.
Air conditioning and heat pump installation
If you’re looking to add cooling, replace an older air conditioner, or upgrade to a heat pump, we’ll help you understand the options that best suit your home, layout, and comfort goals.
We provide installation and replacement services for:
Central air conditioning systems (an outdoor unit paired with an indoor coil)
Ductless heat pumps and ductless air conditioners (single-zone and multi-zone systems)
We take time to review the layout, equipment options, and overall fit for the space so you can make an informed decision that suits your home and budget.
What to expect when you book
We start with a proper assessment and a clear explanation of what we found. If service, maintenance, or repair work is needed, we’ll outline the options and pricing before moving ahead. If cleaning or upkeep is the right next step, we’ll explain what is worthwhile and why. If you’re planning a new air conditioner or heat pump installation, we’ll talk through the layout, sizing, and equipment options so you can choose an approach that fits your home and budget.
Air Conditioning and Heat Pump FAQ
Should I choose central air or a ductless heat pump?
It depends on your home’s layout, existing ductwork, and what you’re trying to solve. We’ll explain the pros and cons in plain language and help you understand which option may be the better fit for your space and comfort goals.
Do you do heat loss and heat gain calculations for heat pumps?
Yes. For heat pump installations, we use heat loss and heat gain calculations as part of the system sizing process.
How is labour priced for service calls?
Labour is billed based on the type of work required and the level of troubleshooting involved. Routine service, maintenance, cleaning, and many common repair calls are billed at our Standard Technician Rate, while more involved troubleshooting or higher-complexity repair work may be billed at our Advanced Diagnostic / Complex Repair Rate. We’ll discuss the applicable rate before work proceeds.
How often should ductless units be cleaned?
It depends on usage, pets, dust, and how the system is operating. Many homes benefit from periodic deep cleaning to help maintain airflow, reduce odours, and support proper performance.
Do you service all air conditioners and heat pumps?
We provide diagnostic, repair, maintenance, and cleaning services for many air conditioners and heat pumps, depending on the equipment type, condition, and scope of work involved. If you’re unsure whether we’re the right fit for your system, we’re happy to discuss your setup.
